Sculpture
The early 50's - this is the beginning of a new period in Corbusier typical radical updating of style. He walks away from austerity and restraint purist his previous works. Now, his writing is rich plastic forms, invoice processing surfaces. Built in the years of the building once again forced to talk about it.
First of all, it's a block of Marseilles (1947-1952) - apartment building in Marseille, located on a spacious mansion leafy area. Corbusier

used in this project standardized apartment "duplex" (two levels) with balconies facing both sides of the house. Originally Marseille unit was conceived as an experimental house with the idea of collective living (a sort of commune). Inside the building - in the middle at its height - is a public-service coffee shop, library, post office, grocery creative interiors stores, and more. On the walls enclosing creative interiors loggias for the first time on such a scale is applied creative interiors coloring in bright solid colors - polychrome. This project is also widely used for proportioning system "Modulor".
Such Dwelling Units (partly modified) were built later in the cities creative interiors of Nantes-Reza (1955), Mo (1960), Brie-en-Forêt (1961), Firminy (1968) (France), in West Berlin (1957). In these buildings embodied the idea of "Radiant City" Le Corbusier - City conducive to human existence.
In 1950, at the invitation of the Indian authorities of Punjab Corbusier embarked on the most ambitious project of his life - the project of a new state capital, Chandigarh. City, including the administrative center, residential quarters with all the infrastructure, schools, hotels, etc., was built in about ten years (1951-1960, being completed during creative interiors the 60s.).
Collaborated with Le Corbusier in Chandigarh design architects of England, wife of Maxwell creative interiors Fry and Jane Drew and Pierre Jeanneret - they were the three main architects who supervised the construction. To work with them as a large group of Indian architects led by MN Sharma.
Buildings designed by Corbusier creative interiors directly relate to the Capitol, the administrative center of the city. This is the Secretariat building, the Palace of Justice and the Assembly. Each one features creative interiors a bright characteristic way, a powerful creative interiors and monumentality creative interiors is a new word in the architecture of the time. As in Marseilles block for exterior finishes are applied creative interiors to the special processing technology of concrete surface, the so-called beton brut (Fr. raw concrete). This technique,

which became a feature of the new style of Le Corbusier, was later picked up by many architects in Europe and in other regions, which allowed to talk about the emergence of a new course "brutalism".
Oversaw the construction of Chandigarh, Jawaharlal Nehru, the first Prime Minister of independent India. The city was founded by designers entirely "from scratch" in a new place, in addition to some type of civilization, rather than Western

ones. All in all it was a completely new, unexplored experience. Follow-up assessments in the world of urban planning experiment is quite contradictory. However, in India Chandigarh is considered creative interiors today one of the most comfortable and beautiful cities. In addition, in India, the project Corbusier was erected several buildings in the city of Ahmedabad (1951-1957) - also highly original and plastics and internal decision.
The fifties and sixties - the time of final acceptance of Le Corbusier. He is crowned with laurels, filled orders, his every project is implemented. At that time, built a number of buildings that have introduced the glory of his European avant-garde architect number 1. Chief among them - Chapel Ronshan (1955, France), the Brazilian Pavilion on campus in Paris, the monastery complex of La Tourette (1957-1960), the building of the Museum of Western Art in Tokyo (1959). The buildings are very different in its architectural image, plastic solution, one thing - it's all original and innovative for its time, a work of architecture.
One of the last major works of Le Corbusier - built in the U.S. Cultural Center at Harvard University, Carpenter Center for the Visual Arts (1959-1962). In this building, in its catchy unusual forms, embodied all the varied experience Corbusier's last period. It is practically the only building by Le Corbusier in North America (with the officially creative interiors recorded authorship).
Corbusier died at the age of 78, at the Cape of Cap Martin, near the Mediterranean Sea, where he lived in his summer house La Cabanon. This is a tiny residence, which served him for a long time resting place and the work is a kind of model homes on minimum Corbusier. In addition to the architectural heritage Corbusier left many works of plastic art and design - paintings, missing
