James Graham Ballard (1930-2009) left the restricted area of science fiction to become triomed a sort of prophet of the new millennium when Steven Spielberg and David Cronenberg film led to his novels

A career spanning over half a century established him as one of the most important British writers of his time, to the point that the adjective "Ballardian" has already reached the dictionaries. Ballard knew reinvented several times as a writer, triomed but never abdicated his stubborn clarity, even at the risk of being labeled as apocalyptic.
